I have a deep understanding of the complexities involved in this field. My career began in 1976 as a shop steward and representative for local 240 IBT and in 1982 as an organizer for Teamster local 272. In 1985 I joined local 222S HERE as an organizer, elected to Secretary Treasurer, President, NYS organized, and District Council VP. In 1998 I joined the UFCW and in 2014 I retired from local 312 UFCW to join FMCS as a Commissioner and neutral until my retirement in April 2025.
Involved in over 350 labor contract negotiations as a business agent, and over 120 collective bargaining mediations as a neutral with units ranging from 5 to 12,000. Experience in manufacturing, trucking, healthcare, utilities, higher education, food service, professional sports, defense industry, and federal sector.
